Nikki joined Harbor Dental in 2000, becoming a foundational member of the team on its opening day. She initially served as a certified dental assistant, having earned her degree from the Solano County Regional Occupation Program. In 2003, Nikki transitioned to become Dr. Swoboda's chairside assistant when he assumed ownership of Harbor Dental.
Since 2013, Nikki has utilized her versatility by moving into the front office role, where she continues to ensure patients receive exceptional care and have positive dental experiences. Nikki values the family-oriented community of Benicia and enjoys working directly with people, aiming to make every patient's visit enjoyable and helping them achieve healthy mouths.
Outside of her work at Harbor Dental, Nikki enjoys hiking, working out at the gym, and spending time with her family and friends. She also loves to play with her young niece.
Meet Dana Registered Dental Hygienist
Dana
After a brief departure from Harbor Dental, we are excited to welcome Dana back! Dana was born and raised in Benicia and attended both St. Dominic's School and St. Patrick's-St. Vincent's High School. She attended college at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA, where she got her Bachelors of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene in 2007. Currently, she is an active member of the American Dental Hygiene Association.
She started playing tennis at an early age and continues to be an avid player and fan, and is a big sports fan in general. She earned a black belt in Tae Kwon Do in middle school and also is a music enthusiast. She enjoys playing the piano and drums and even likes to dabble in a little singing, whether people will listen or not is another story.
In her "free" time, Dana is busy raising her amazing children.
MEET Evosha Dental Assistant
Evosha
Evosha became a part of Harbor Dental in July 2024. She has been a consistently reliable team member and has worked hard to make sure her patients are well taken care of and enjoy their experience. She has been a dental assistant for 5 years and received her degree from Carrington College in San Leandro, CA.
Evosha knows her patients very well and really enjoys the family oriented environment provided by the community of Benicia. She chose the dental field because she wanted to work directly with people. Evosha is a people person and very interactive with patients. She also loves being able to help patients attain healthy mouths.
Some things Evosha likes to do when she is not at Harbor Dental are, bowling, movies and spending a lot of time with her kids and doing fun activities with them. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Meet Silvia Dental Assistant
Silivia
Silvia joined Harbor Dental in 2007 as a Temp, becoming part of the team as a part-time employee. She has been a valued team member. Silvia and Dr. Swoboda met in 1998 at Richmond Dental. She is fluent in Spanish and is happy to translate when needed. She has been a Dental Assistant for 33 years and received her degree from Western Career College in San Leandro, CA.
Silvia values the family-oriented community of Benicia and enjoys working directly with people, aiming to make every patient's visit enjoyable and helping them achieve healthy mouths. She loves the fact that she can make a difference in making the patient feel at ease while getting their dental work done. leaving with a great experience. Outside of her work at Harbor Dental, Silvia enjoys going on walks, cooking, going on movie dates with her Son. and enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Meet Cassandra REGISTERED Dental Hygienist
Cassandra
Cassandra was born in Stockton, California, and moved to the Bay Area with her family when she was five. From a young age, she knew she wanted to work in healthcare. It wasn't until college, though, that she discovered her true passion for dental hygiene.
"l always knew l wanted to help people feel their best. After talking with a close friend - who happens to be an oral surgeon - I realized the dental field was where I belonged" said Cassandra. She earned her Associate of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from Santa Rosa Junior College in 2011 and joined the Harbor Dental team in 2012.
"I love what I do. Helping my patients feel confident about their smiles and teaching them how to care for their oral health is incredibly rewarding."
Always eager to grow in her career, Cassandra went on to complete the Registered Dental Hygiene in Alternative Practice (RDHAP) program at the University ofthe Pacific in 2015. With this advanced training, she's able to provide care to underserved communities-something she's deeply passionate about.
"My dream is to bring preventive dental care to people who don't have easy access-like home-bound individuals, residents in skilled nursing facilities, and kids in schools without dental resources."
Outside ofwork, Cassandra stays busy with her favorite role- being a mom. She's married with three active kids, and she loves spending time with her family, catching up with friends, and staying fit.
"I feel so lucky to be part of a private practice that truly values work-life balance and puts patient care first."
Meet Mayra Registered Dental Assistant
Mayra
Mayra was born and raised in El Salvador until the age of twelve. In 1980, she and her family moved to San Francisco. In 1985, she graduated from Mission High School in San Francisco and simultaneously received her Dental Assistant certificate from the School of Business and Commerce. Mayra has been practicing dental assisting ever since. She quickly discovered she has a passion for dentistry, so in 1990, she received her Registered Dental Assistant license with the state of California.
Mayra first met Dr. Swoboda in 1999 at a dental office where they both worked. In 2003, Dr. Swoboda recruited Mayra to help start Harbor Dental. She worked there until 2009 when she took a break to be with her children and returned in 2017.
She is the mother of a beautiful young lady and three handsome gentlemen. She became a grandmother to a handsome baby boy in 2025. Her children and grandson are the love of her life, and her spare time is spent with them.
Mayra is very grateful for the opportunity to practice dentistry. She loves the patients and the town of Benicia.
Meet KATY Dental Assistant
Katy
Katy first joined our team at Harbor Dental in 2014. She left in 2017 to take care of her family but is happy to be back helping to provide excellent dental care to our patients. Katy has been a dental assistant for over 20 years and received her certificate from the Solano County Regional Occupation Program. Patient care is her passion and she strives to make patients feel comfortable and at ease, even in the dental chair.
Away from the office she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and exploring nature and shopping.
